Day 1: Welcome to Sicilian soil

After a smooth flight with ITA Airways, we landed around 2:40 PM in Palermo, where the sun immediately warmed us. Our journey began with a short transfer to the Selinunte Resort, beautifully located near the ruins of the ancient city of Selinunte. During a brief site inspection, we got acquainted with the extensive facilities of this resort while enjoying a refreshing granita.

Afterwards, we headed to the charming coastal town of Sciacca, known for its colorful fishing harbor and authentic streets. After this atmospheric visit, it was time to check in at the Torre del Barone Resort. This resort offers everything for a relaxing stay: a modern wellness center, a spacious swimming pool, and roomy rooms with views of the deep blue Mediterranean Sea. We ended the evening in style with an aperitif and dinner at the resort, followed by a blissful night’s rest.

Day 2: From resorts to picturesque villages

After an extensive breakfast buffet at Torre del Barone, we departed for the Himera Resort, where we once again had an interesting site inspection. The resort’s location right on the beach, combined with the wide range of sports and leisure options, makes it an ideal holiday destination.

During the delicious lunch, we also experienced Sicilian hospitality. In the afternoon, we visited Cefalù, one of the most beautiful and authentic towns in Sicily. The picturesque streets, the impressive Norman cathedral complex, and the charming beach make Cefalù an absolute must-see.

In the evening, we arrived at the idyllic Pollina Resort, perched high on the cliffs with breathtaking views over the Tyrrhenian Sea. After checking in, we were immersed in Sicilian culinary traditions during a cozy cooking workshop where we learned to prepare Sicilian street food dishes. Of course, this was followed by a sunset aperitif at the Lime bar and a delicious dinner.

Day 3: Culture and comfort on the east coast

The day started again with a delicious breakfast, after which we headed to Mangia’s Brucoli Resort. This resort exudes luxury and tranquility, featuring modern facilities, stylish rooms, and a beautiful swimming pool. During the site inspection, we also discovered the resort’s versatility, ideal for couples, families, as well as meetings and events.

After lunch, it was time for a cultural highlight: a visit to Ortigia, the historic heart of Syracuse. The narrow streets, Baroque façades, and impressive squares are steeped in history. From the famous Piazza Duomo to the picturesque harbor, Ortigia enchants everyone.

The final evening ended beautifully with an aperitif at Kagain sushi bar, offering a breathtaking view of the sunset with Mount Etna in the background. After the extensive aperitif, we concluded our journey of discovery with dinner at Al Grano pizzeria, where we were pleasantly surprised by a live musical performance.

Day 4: Arrivederci, Sicilia!

After breakfast, the transfer to Catania Airport was scheduled. Around 9:40 AM, we said goodbye to the island, with suitcases full of beautiful memories and minds full of travel inspiration. The return flight to Brussels went smoothly.
