In collaboration with Mangia’s Resorts & ITA Airways
4 – 8 September 2025
Our colleague Margot is going on a study trip to beautiful Sicily with Travel Counsellors and ITA Airways!
During this trip, they stayed at various Mangia's Resorts scattered across the island. The perfect way to discover the diversity of Sicily. This is her experience.
Day 1 – Arrival and first impressions in Brucoli
After arriving in Catania, we headed to Mangia's Brucoli Resort, a stylish and modern resort on the east coast of Sicily. The resort is surrounded by lush greenery and offers breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea.
After checking in, it was immediately time for a first aperitif and dinner at Kaigain Sushi bar.
The delicious fusion cuisine and sushi dishes made an immediate impression. An ideal start to this study trip.

Day 2 – Historic Ortigia and Sicilian flavors
After lunch, it was time for a cultural highlight: a visit to Ortigia, the historic heart of Syracuse. The narrow streets, Baroque façades, and impressive squares are steeped in history. From the famous Piazza Duomo to the picturesque harbor, Ortigia enchants everyone.

In the afternoon, an interactive and enjoyable pizza workshop was on the program. Under the guidance of local chefs, we learned the secrets of the perfect Sicilian dough and toppings. Of course, we tasted our creations together afterwards, and it left us wanting more!
In the evening, we once again enjoyed an aperitif and an extensive dinner at Donna Floriana Brucoli Resort, overlooking the setting sun. During dessert, we were treated to a fireworks display.

Day 3 – Cefalù & a magical evening
After breakfast, we traveled on to the north coast and arrived at the beautifully situated Pollina Resort. There we first enjoyed a tasty lunch in the Perseo restaurant, with panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
In the afternoon, we explored the charming coastal town of Cefalù, with its picturesque streets, imposing Norman cathedral, and pleasant beach. This authentic village charmed everyone.
The evening began with a special moment: the sunset ritual at Terrazza Narciso, a stylish bar with phenomenal views. As the sun sank into the sea, we enjoyed an aperitif in a magical setting with lounge music and a performance by a hoop acrobat.
This was followed by a pleasant dinner at Al Grano Pizzeria, where the authentic flavors of Sicily were served.

Day 4 – Himera, Sciacca en Torre del Barone
After a delicious breakfast, we left for the Himera Resort, beautifully situated by the sea. The route then continued to Sciacca, a town known for its ceramics, thermal baths, and fishing culture.
In the afternoon, we checked in at the Torre del Barone Resort, which excels in wellness and relaxation facilities. After a brief site visit and a delicious lunch, there was time to relax and enjoy the resort's facilities.
In the evening, a special wine tasting of local wines was planned on a terrace with a sea view, followed by an atmospheric dinner at Donna Floriana. A perfect combination of local wines and delicious Sicilian dishes.

Day 5: Arrivederci, Sicilia!
After breakfast, it was time to say goodbye. We left the resort and headed to Palermo airport for our flight home.

A golden experience
Mangia's Resorts never failed to surprise us with their hospitality, facilities, and unique locations. From sports and wellness to culinary indulgence and cultural excursions, everything was perfectly balanced.
And then there's the landscape... Sicily never ceases to amaze: from the azure blue sea to the historic cities, from charming villages to impressive nature.
A presto!
