It was that time again: the annual study trip to Puy du Fou with an enthusiastic group of Flemish travel agents and their families. The program included new shows, hotel expansions, and of course, the unique atmosphere that makes this park so special.
One of the highlights this year was the brand-new show L’Épée du Roi Arthur. This 22-minute performance immerses you in the legendary story of King Arthur and his knights, captured by the sorceress Morgana. The young Tristan, assisted by his companions and guided by the Lady of the Lake, must free Excalibur to save them. With impressive special effects and an engaging storyline, this show is a technological and artistic revolution that enchants both young and old.

The hotel La Villa Gallo-Romaine has doubled its capacity with 100 additional rooms, making it even more suitable for group trips and families. The Roman architecture and the spacious Atrium restaurant provide an authentic experience. We stay at La Citadelle, a hotel that feels like a medieval fort. With its wooden beams, stone walls, and atmospheric lighting, you truly feel transported to another time.

Although the weather gods weren’t on our side, we didn’t let that stop us. The Puy du Fou ponchos came in handy, especially during the evening show Les Noces de Feu. This enchanting performance on the lake tells the romantic story of a violinist and a pianist who celebrate their eternal love in a spectacle of water, fire, and music. Despite the rain, it was a magical experience that left a deep impression on everyone.
To make the most of our short visit, we made use of the Pass Émotion. This pass provides access to reserved seating and fast access to most of the shows.

At the end of the study trip, I asked, as every year, the question: "What was your favorite show?" The answers varied, but Les Vikings, Le Signe du Triomphe, and Les Mousquetaires de Richelieu consistently made it into the top 3. The most beautiful moment might have been when one of the children said upon departure: "It was really worth the early wake-up and the long drive." That confirms for me that you really have to experience Puy du Fou yourself to understand how special it is.
