Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is een volledig Spaans familiebedrijf dat al meer dan 60 jaar actief is in de toeristische sector. With its Wave of Change, Iberostar is working on a very ambitious ecological model. The main objectives in all hotels worldwide are: no disposable plastic (to be realised by 2020), a circular economy by 2025 and CO 2 neutral by 2030. This is also reflected in the quality and customer satisfaction with a high repeater rate of + 42% and with 95% positive evaluations out of more than 1.3 million annual evaluations received through independent networks and opinion platforms.

In 2011 was Iberostar op zoek naar lokale representatie in de Benelux, de nodige schakel tussen enerzijds de hotelketen en anderzijds de Tour Operators, reisagenten en MICE-kantoren. Initieel was de jobinhoud de representatie van de hotelketen, maar dit werd pro-actief omgebogen tot Business Development, Strategic Sales Management en de operationele commerciële ondersteuning van de BeNeLux-markt en sinds 1 december 2019 ook voor de Franse markt. De focus ligt vandaag op key accountmanagement, de ontwikkeling van marktstrategieën en opportuniteiten. Zo worden er jaarlijks meer dan 1000 sales calls gedaan, deelgenomen aan talrijke beurzen en (network)-events, ontwikkelen van pers- en studiereizen, training en coaching van on- en offline partners. Daarnaast wordt er ook erg hard ingezet op brand management en social media (gesloten Facebook groep “Iberostar Star Agents Benelux”).
For more than 10 years, we have been responsible for Iberostar on the Benelux market. Consequently, Iberostar was our first partner and today, it is also our longest-running partnership. Since December 2011 Davy Van Acker is the personification of the hotel chain in the Benelux market. To this end, he is assisted by Bart for the Benelux and by Sara in France, who are the first line contacts and confidants for the retail. Our employees are the face in the market and are a pillar in the tourism sector with an additional recognition in 2018 at the Travel Awards as Best Sales of the Year.
Service, being present, innovation, an out-of-the-box mentality and proactive action are what the three-man team is known for.
In recent years, the Benelux has grown together with France into the most important markets. Through a persistent multichannel strategy and the development of new partnerships, we have achieved year-on-year increases of +10% in the increasingly challenging travel landscape. We have also built the largest B2B group on social media in the Benelux with +3700 members, which is considered a primary communication platform.
